Default The Best soloing build

I wanted to start over with a new character and I want a character that is great at soloing.

So the question is, what is the Best profession and second profession to use to be able to solo. I'm not talking about soloing the UW though.

Is it the warrior monk?

What would the skills and atts be set too?

Well, this is my first post on this forum, so I hope it's enlightening

Lot's of people see warrior monks as a good solo character because of the fact that you can cast mending on yourself, and thanks to your super duper armour, what little damage you take will be recovered. I actually did this with my warrior, and solod up to yaks bend, where i discovered the nastiness that is enchant removal although this didn't stop me playing paladin stylee until i reached the desert

Anyways, in terms of solo farming and such, i find that a W/E is the best build. If you use stances together with some earth armour buffs, you can either dodge, or endure much of the damage that mobs deal to you, using skills like shield stance, bonettis, armour of earth and ward against melee...if you use em right you can get 100% evasion at some points...i think. Throw in your healing sig when you're in a stance, and you can recover life without the -40 armour being a big deal.

Anywho, that's my 2 cense.

EDIT: You may not get some of the skills needed until later on the game, so it may be best to be a W/Mo until you begin solo farming

The Mesmer is the best farming build. ^_^

Seriously. Go find a Hydra and cast Mantra of Persistance, Crippling Anguish, Phantom Pain, and Phantom Pain.

My e/mo can take on a hydra with no problem at all... if it were only one. Real problem is with groups of hydras.

Soloing for the most part can be fairly easy with most builds as long as it is 1v1. Once you start dealing with groups it is a completely different story, especially with builds that have poor healing.
